Nebraska Gospel Network Vision
The vision of the Nebraska Gospel Network is to support pastors and ministry leaders as they equip Christians and congregations throughout Nebraska for God-honoring life and ministry that is in step with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In Galatians 2:14 Paul writes that he confronted Peter and other Christian leaders in Antioch because “their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel.” Implied by the apostle is that Christians should conduct themselves in a way that is in line with truths emerging from the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the core of the Bible. This not only means that a believer should know what the gospel is so he can share it with someone who is an unbeliever. It means that all he does—from how he thinks about himself and others to how he provides counsel, to how he parents his children—should be driven by the gospel. As Tim Keller has written:
“The gospel is not the first ‘step’ in a ‘stairway’ of truths, rather, it is more like the ‘hub’ in a ‘wheel’ of truth. The gospel is not just the A-B-C’s but the A to Z of Christianity. The gospel is not just the minimum required doctrine necessary to enter the kingdom, but the way we make all progress in the kingdom.”
– Tim Keller, The Centrality of the Gospel
The Nebraska Gospel Network exists to put on an annual conference that will equip Christians by exploring how the gospel serves as the hub in the wheel of biblical truth and as the A to Z of Christianity.
